Orbital Anvil
Starforge Drift Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 July 2026
Starforge Drift is a game for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac, published by Orbital Anvil ("we"). Gameplay is fully offline: we operate no servers, no accounts, and no analytics, and we do not collect, receive, sell, or share personal data ourselves. The free version shows advertising, purchases are processed by Apple, and optional Game Center features are provided by Apple; those services handle limited data as described below.
Data we collect
None. Starforge Drift sends no personal data to Orbital Anvil. If you email us for support, we use your message and address only to handle your request, keep the correspondence no longer than needed for that, and share it with no one.
Data stored on your device
The game saves preferences, accessibility and control settings, scores, game progression, and a local copy of your ad-removal unlock on your device. This information is used only to operate the game and is not transmitted to the developer. Removing the app may remove this locally stored information, subject to normal operating-system backup behavior. Your ad-removal purchase itself is not lost with the app — its record is kept by Apple, as described under In-app purchases below.
Advertising in the free version
The free version displays ads from a third-party advertising provider. To serve and measure ads, the provider may process data such as your device's advertising identifier (only where permitted — on iOS this requires your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), IP address, approximate region, and basic device information. This processing is governed by the provider's own privacy policy.
You can decline tracking when the system asks, limit ad personalization in your device settings, or remove ads entirely with the one-time ad-removal purchase, after which the game shows no ads.
In-app purchases
The ad-removal purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. Apple keeps the purchase record as part of your Apple Account — this is what allows Restore Purchases to work after you reinstall the game or switch devices. We never receive your name or payment details; the game only receives confirmation that the purchase was made, and stores a local copy of the unlocked state so it can disable ads.
Game Center
If you use Game Center features where offered, Apple's Game Center service processes your Game Center profile — such as your player alias and submitted scores — under Apple's privacy policy and your device's Game Center settings. Game Center is optional and can be turned off in system settings; the game remains fully playable without it.
Device capabilities
The game can use iPhone motion data as an optional live control input. Motion samples are processed on the device during play and are not recorded or transmitted. The game does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, health data, or Bluetooth.
Where data is processed
Apple and the advertising provider operate globally, so the limited data they process may be handled in countries other than yours, including the United States, under the transfer safeguards described in their own privacy policies. Orbital Anvil itself transfers no personal data anywhere, because it holds none.
Children
The game is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Orbital Anvil does not sell personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over personal data, such as access, correction, or deletion. Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data are handled by the advertising provider — but you can always contact us and we will help direct your request. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If a future version changes how data is handled, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that version is released.
